Launching of arch truss girders took place on the occasion

Ganderbal 17 Sep (KNZ):Much to the inconvenience of the commuters caused by the frequent traffic jams, the district Administration and R&B department have geared up the work of vital bridge over nallah Sindh near Wayil in Ganderbal district.

Chief Engineer R&B Rafiq Ahmad Rafiq along with Superintending Engineer Ganderbal Er Sajad Naqib,Executive Engineer Ganderbal Tatheer Manzoor, AEE Ganderbal and other officials today inspected work progress on bailey bridge constructed over Sindh at Wayil Ganderbal where they witnessed the installation arch truss girders.

Superintending Engineer Er Sajad Naqib and Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal briefed the Chief Engineer R&B about the design and completion of work on the bridge.

Executive Engineer R&B Tatheer Manzoor said that the two lane bridge is approved at the cost of Rs 22 crore funded by World Bank.

He said that the span of the bridge is 110 meters and width is 10.50 meters besides, length of approach roads is 330 meters.

He also said the bailey bridge wayil will open for traffic ending this year

Chief Engineer R&B Rafiq Ahmad Rafiq directed the executing agency to expedite the work progress so that it gets completed within a given timeline.

He said that the launching of arch truss is a historic movement and to construct permanent concrete bridge over nallah Sindh near Wayil was a long pending demand.

However,R&B Division Ganderbal works day and night in order to get work done in a stipulated time so that all corner of people get benefitted from this arch segmental Bridge.KNZ
