June 01: As a part of its public reach out programme Police public interaction meeting cum awareness programme on Coronavirus were facilitated at CDC Nambla area of Uri while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The interaction meeting were attended by respectable citizens including Sarpanches and other civil society members of the area. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Uri along with SHO Uri.

During the meeting, the participants raised various social issues. Participants were assured by the chairing officer that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be redressed on priority and other issues pertaining to the civil administration have been conveyed to the respective departments.

In the meeting, the cooperation was sort from the participants regarding the restrictions imposed in view of COVID-19 and other social crimes like drug trade etc. The participants were made aware about the necessary precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families from Coronavirus.

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the Police Public relationship and also spread awareness about Coronavirus.

The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police for facilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely.
