Ganderbal 10th Oct:Ganderbal Police arrested notorious drug peddler in the Jurisdication of police post Shadipora.Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Ganderbal Police arrested a notorious Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction PP Shadipora and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Police Party led by I/C PP Shadipora under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal laid naka at Satkreeri Chowk. While Checking, a person was stopped & during his personal search, (20 Bottles) Codeine Phosphate Contraband Substance was recovered from his possession which he was carrying in a bag & siezed on the spot. The accused was arrested &
disclosed his identity as;
Hilal Ahmad Ganie S/O Gh Mohi-ud-Din Ganie R/O Wakoora.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 287/2023,under relevant sections stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
