Ganderbal 09 Oct (KNZ):A team of Forest department from Kangan Range intercepted a load carrier with illegal timber at Najwan village of Kangan in Ganderbal district
An official told Kashmir News Zone (KNZ), that acting on specific information about timber smuggling, officials from Forest department established a checkpoint at Najwan on intervening night Friday-saturday and seized a load carrier under registration no. JK16A-6043 with illicit timber at the checkpoint.
“During the search, it was found that the vehicle is loaded with 05 logs of illicit timber, ” he said.
The driver has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Parray son of Gh Nabi Parray of Barwalla Kangan
