Tral: A lady has tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in Tral town on Monday, raised the toll to three in the sub district.

An official in the sub district has said that the lady was quarantined for last week, following a primary contact with one of the positive cases, earlier.

He said that she was tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) today while as other family members continued to be in quarnatine.

Official further said that soon after the positive case was confirmed by the health department, administration & police in Tral swung into action and the efforts are being taken to trace out other contacts.

Meanwhile, ADC Tral, SA Raina, medical team from health department, police and municipal committe workers have reached uptown area and held a fumigation drive there.

They also declared Mukdam Mohalla (Bonn Mohalla) as red zone and its adjoining areas as buffer zones.

On that occasion, people were requested not to visit the said area for further orders to contain Covid-19 spread in Tral sub district.

It is pertinent to mention here that two persons were tested positive in Tral sub district earlier in Naibugh and Amlar villages, following which, the said areas were declared red zones.
