Srinagar, July 13 (KS) :- A year old baby drowned to death in Karnah area of North Kashmir Kupwara district on Thursday.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a minor boy namely Mehran Ahmad (03) son of Syed Fayaz Gillani resident of Chamkote drowned in a canal at Chamkote Karnah while he waa playing.
He died on the spot and after legal formalities his dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites, official said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation.(KS)
