Hajin, May 04: Amid Corona crisis, a New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) located in Baharabad village of Hajin Tehsil in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district is being run by a sweeper and an orderly as the remaining staff remains off duty.
Interestingly, the staff deputed to NTPHC on papers include a Lady Doctor, a Medical Assistant, an orderly, fmphw and a sweeper.
Locals of the area said that they are suffering immensely as there are no doctor at the hospital who could treat the patients .
They said that they had to travel to Sumbal or Hajin amid the restrictions which are in place to contain the spread of deadly Covid-19, thus adding to their miseries.
Locals appealed Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to personally look into the matter and take the erring doctors to task.
Meanwhile, BMO Hajin, Aejaz Ahmad said that the one of the staff member have been deputed for quarantine duty, adding that these are testing times and we are trying our best to tackle the situation.
DC Bandipora, Owais Ahmad assured that he will look into the matter and take action against the staff if found guilty.
