Ganderbal 01 May (KNZ):One person has been arrested in COVID-19 red zone Ganderbal after stones were pelted on police party at Gutlibagh in Ganderbal District.

A police official told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ , “police party of police post Gutlibagh were patrolling in the red zone area.We saw a crowd of gathering more then 40 persons at Gutlibagh chowk .As they saw us, they started pelting stones resulting injury to a policeman.

We chased them and arrested one on spot and we are searching for other,he added

He also Said, “We are there for safety of people.People’ there should understand that staying in home is safety for all.”

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted SSP Ganderbal Mr Khalil Poswal he said “People were gathering for congregational prayers and when police party reached people their started stone pelting .We have arrested one and notice has been send to others.”

He appealed the general public to cooperate with the Adminstration abd ensure strict adherence to the order.He said violation of the order would constitutea criminal offence and attract strict action under section 188 of IPC

Meanwhile police register FIR 81 /2020 in Police station Ganderbal,Under section 188,269,353,336,332 147,148,149 has been registered against the violators.KNZ
