Srinagar Police sloved burglary case.03 arrested,stolen cash Rs 2.10 lacs recovered.

Srinagar, 28 Jan:Srinagar Police has solved a burglary case registered with Police Station Batmaloo on last friday.03 persons involved in the burglary case have been arrested and a cash Rs 2,10000 has been recovered.

On 24 Jan 2020, it was reported that some unknown burglars have broken into an electrical goods shop at Batmaloo and have stolen cash amount of Rs 210000 from the shop while the shopkeeper had gone out for friday prayers.The compliant was filed by the shop owner-cum-keeper Zahoor Ahmad Qureshi and accordingly a case FIR No. 04/2020 u/s 454, 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Batamaloo and Investigation taken up.

During the course of Investigation CCTV footage of the shop and a nearby shop was examined and salesman of the shopkeeper was questioned.

After strenuous efforts it came to surface that the salesman of the shop had entered into a conspiracy with two others who happen to be his acquaintances. While leaving for prayers the shop owner asked his saleman to lock the shop but the salesman as per plan had left the locks open and handed the key to the shop owner.Then his acquaintances came and broke into the shop when everyone from the vicinity had left for prayers.The burglars turned a CCTV camera installed on the way upwards and had cut power supply to turn CCTV system off before entering the shop. However while turning the camera upwards, garment of one of the burglars were captured in the camera which ultimately led to his identification. Following which all the three burglars were arrested.

After thorough questioning the burglars revealed the whole story and on their disclosures the stolen cash was recovered. The case is under investigation, further disclosures are expected from the arrested burglars.

The traders fraternity have hailed the efforts of police. Moreover Police appeals general public particularly the traders fraternity to register their tenants and salesmen with the concerned Police Stations to avoid such incidents.
