Search operation launched in Shopian despite biting cold, thigh-high snow

Shopian, Jan 07: Amid biting cold and thigh-high snow, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Gadda Mohalla locality of south Kashmir’s Shopian town early Thursday morning.

A police official said that forces ring-fenced Gadda Mohalla locality in the heart of town and started a door to door search operation.

The operation was launched at a time when most of the roads in the town are clogged with snow.

The operation was in progress at the time of filing this report.(GK)
