GANDERBAL : Ganderbal Police continuing its public reach out programme today organised an interactive meeting with general public of Safapora, District Ganderbal under the jurisdiction of Police Station Safapora. The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, accompanied by DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS , SHO Safapora Inspector Tariq Ahmad and other Police officers. The DDC, BDCs, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other respectable citizens of the area also participated in the meeting.

  The interactive meeting was also attended by Teachers, Doctors, Auqaf members, Students and general public of the local areas of Safapora. The public highlighted several issues faced by them like Drug menace, traffic management, unemployment, and other various social issues. Besides this, general public also highlighted some issues pertaining to Civil Administration.

     While addressing the general public, SSP Ganderbal assured them full cooperation in resolving the genuine problems faced by them after discussing them with concerned authorities. He also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in the area, besides eradicating various social evils especially drug menace and gambling. He also stressed on the parents to take extra care of their children, so that they do not fall prey to Anti National and Anti Social Elements. 

   Further, SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS stated that Ganderbal police is continuously taking stringent actions against Anti National and Anti Social elements especially OGWs and Drug Peddlers. During the talk, he also appealed general public/civil society members to help police in identifying such elements so that strict action under law could be initiated against them. He also assured general public that their genuine demands related to civil works shall be put forward to the civil administration for timely redressal in letter and spirit.

    Finally, the participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to Police in tackling social evils. They also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants could express their notions and opinions freely.
