01-day training programme regarding NDPS Act organised in Sopore

Srinagar March 01: Police in Pulwama organises a comprehensive five-day crash course on the new criminal laws at Conference Hall DPL Pulwama. The course, initiated with an aim to equip officers/officials with the essential understanding of the recently promulgated laws by the Central Government. Besides, Police in Sopore organised 01-day training program regarding NDPS Act for investigating officers.

The inauguration of the course was graced by the presence of DySP DAR Shri Majid Ali-JKPS, SDPO Litter Shri Nisar Ahmad-JKPS and Inspector Taseer Ahmad who delivered an enlightening inaugural lectures. During the session, Officers emphasised on the understanding of the theme behind the new criminal laws with a view on the significant changes.

Meanwhile in Sopore, a day-long training program regarding NDPS Act for investigating officers were organised, in which SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS, DySP DAR Sopore, SHOs /DOs & Investigating officers from PD Sopore participated.

The training program was organized to aware the officers with latest techniques and standard practices to expedite the investigation and improve and ensure convictions in NDPS cases.

On the occasion, Superintendent, NCB Jammu Shri Raj Kumar Shaw presented a detailed presentation on various aspects of NDPS Act and related laws and procedures. He delivered detailed briefing over NDPS Act, PIT NDPS, Financial Investigations etc. The main objective of the training program is to enhance the investigative skills and to achieve higher conviction rates in NDPS cases, procedures to be followed for destruction of seized contraband.
