Srinagar, March 12: An encounter has broke out between militants and government in Nechama, Rajwar area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.
Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Nechama, Rajwar.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
Pertinently beside Handwara encounter, two more encounters are underway in district Pulwama and Ganderbal.(GNS)
