Srinagar, 21 August: Moderate rains lashed Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening which continued till Friday morning, bringing the day temperature down in the Union Territory by several nothces.

Rains in Jammu city resulted in water logging at several places. Water logging was also reported from several areas of Srinagar city.

As per Kashmir Weather, Srinagar recorded 27.2mm rains during last 24hrs till 8:30a.m.
Qazigund, Kokernag and Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded rains equivalent to 26.2mm, 15.9mm and 16.3mm respectively.

Jammu City reported rains equivalent to 59.0mm, Banihal, Bhaderwah, Batote and Katra recorded 49.6mm, 41.8mm, 70.2mm and 64.2mm rains respectively.

Till filing of this report, moderate rain was going on in most parts of south Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Weather has forecasted of more rains in some parts of Kashmir till late afternoon, improvement in weather was expected from today evening.
