28 January:Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh, PVSM, AVSM & Bar, YSM, SM, ADC, General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command, visited Jammu Kashmir Police Headquarters, Jammu today, where he interacted with the senior officers of the JK Police department.

The interaction was attended by ADGsP Dr. B. Srinivas, Shri A. K. Choudhary, Shri Deepak Kumar, Shri S. J. M. Gillani, Shri Abdul Ghani Mir, Shri Mohd Sulaiman Salaria, Shri Muneer Ahmad Khan, IGsP Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, Shri T. Namgyal, Shri Mukesh Singh, Shri Danesh Rana, Shri Garib Dass, Shri Alok Kumar, DIsG Shri Bhim Sen Tuti, Shri Vivek Gupta, AIsG of PHQ Shri Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Shri Mubassir Latifi, Shri Rajeshwar Singh, Dr Koushal Kumar and Shri Manoj Pandith.

Speaking on the occasion the visiting General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command complemented the DGP and his entire team of all ranks of Jammu Kashmir Police for the outstanding work being done for the peace and welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the graph and trajectory of the performance of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been galloping upwards and reached new heights by the sheer professionalism & dedication in maintaining law & order and working on the anti militancy fronts by the Police personnel.

The JK Police personnel have always remained on forefront while dealing with the anti militancy activities and there exists great synergy and coordination with Army and CAPFs and counter insurgency grid is moving as a well oiled machine. He said that J&K Police has a huge role in the maintenance of peace & eliminating terrorists from the Union Territory. He expressed his gratitude to the DGP, J&K Shri Dilbag Singh for providing this opportunity to interact with the officers. He wished good luck to the entire Police personnel in future as well. He also extended good wishes to the families of Police personnel.Earlier, the Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh while thanking the GOC-in-C for his visit to the PHQ said that it was an honour for the entire Jammu Kashmir Police team to host him. The DGP said that Lt. General Ranbir Singh was a wonderful team leader and it was a privilege to work with him. The DGP thanked him for all the cooperation and support he provided for the maintenance of public order and security environment. He said that it was great working relationship and synergy between the forces under his command that resulted in huge success for all of us. The DGP presented memento to the visiting officer, and also extended his wishes to him and his family.
