Srinagar, Feb 6: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Tuesday said Jammu Kashmir has appreciated the nation of Pakistan for observing the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

He said “the hearts of Kashmiris beat with Pakistanis” and “we look forward to Pakistan through thick and thin”.

Lashkar spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to news agency GNS said the way in which Pakistan and the Difa-e-Pakistan Council observed the Kashmir Solidarity Day is highly appreciable.

“Government must not dedicate mere a single day for Kashmir’s solidarity whereas Kashmiris continue to waive Pakistani flags, sacrificing their very lives throughout the year,” the spokesperson quoted LeT cheif as saying.

Mehmood Shah said the UN, as written in its resolutions on Kashmir, must look for its solution.

“The vicious acts of India must be exposed through diplomatic efforts. The methodologies of the public and government differ from each other. The public may conduct protests and rallies whereas it is the government which is responsible to take proactive steps. The nation of Pakistan is fulfilling its duty, when is the government of Pakistan abiding by its responsibilities?” Lashkar chief said.
