All assistance to promotion of Sports to continue : Dr. Vaid

JAMMU, NOV 28【KNZ】: Bronzes medalists of 14th World Wushu Championship held at Kazan, Russia Shri Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Shri Rajinder Singh alongwith Inspr. Kuldeep Handoo, National Wushu Coach called on DGP, J&K at PHQ here, today.

          DGP  Dr. S.P. Vaid congratulated Shri Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh  and Shri Rajinder Singh for bringing laurels to the State. He also congratulated Inspr. Kuldeep Handoo. While greeting the duo, DGP said that the feat of Shri Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh will be remembered by J&K Police for times to come. The DGP assured that all assistance to him and other sports will continue.

          Shri Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh of J&K Police and Shri Rajinder Singh had won Bronze medals in 14th World Wushu Championship held at Kazan, Russia in September – October, 2017.

          The other Sports personalities who were accompanying the Wushu team are Shri Randeep Kalra, Member BCCI & Vice Chairman J&K State Sports Council, Shri Vijay Saraf, President, Wushu Association of J&K, Shri Deepak Handa, Vice President, Wushu Association of J&K and Shri Balkar Singh, renowned wrestler of J&K and father of Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh.

          Pertinent to mention here that J&K Police through its Civic Action Programme (CAP) has been organizing various sports events in all the districts of the State to promote sports culture among the youth and boost the talented sports persons.
