Kupwara, Oct 05 (KS) : The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that Jammu and Kashmir is emerging as a new success story in the country.

Speaking at a gathering in Kupwara as per news agency Kashmir Scroll, he expressed that the overall economic growth of the region is demonstrating resilience and strength, leading to considerable achievements in every sector.

This progress is positively impacting the lives of the people and contributing to the development of a robust union territory he said.

During the event, multiple development projects worth over Rs 26 crore were inaugurated in Kupwara district.

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted the significant capacity building in the infrastructure sector that has taken place in the border district. In the previous year alone, an impressive number of 2444 development works were completed in Kupwara.

He said that the Jammu and Kashmir administration has made substantial efforts to boost the tourism sector.

This initiative aims to transform the socio-economic condition of the people living in this breathtaking region while providing expanded opportunities for the youth.

The Lieutenant Governor stated that in the current financial year, the administration is targeting the completion of 3241 works.

This proactive approach ensures sustained future growth and progress across all areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
