Ganderbal 01 June (KNZ):Joint team of Forest Protection Force and Forest department seized illicit timber from bank of Nallah Sindh area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district,officials said on Tuesday.

“On receipt of specific input about presence of illicit timber, a party led by Assistant Director forest protection Younis Ahmad accompanied by forest employees concerned carried out a raid at Akhal Kangan near Nallah Sindh in the Ganderbal district

After hectic efforts the party succeeded in seizing the timber.During the operation,05 logs of 28 Cfts, was seized from the spot and safeguarded under departmental custody.

When KNZ Contacted DFO Ganderbal Owais Mir,he said investigation have been launched to trace out the culprits involved,he added
