Sopore,Mar 09 (KS) : Security forces in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Saturday claimed to have busted a hideout in the town.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that In a commendable operation, Sopore police, army’s 22 RR and CRPF’s 179 Bn, successfully busted a terrorist hideout in the Logripora area, averting a potential tragedy.

The official said that, acting on credible information received through reliable sources, the law enforcement agencies swiftly launched a cordon and search operation in the jurisdiction of PS Bomai resulted in the discovery of a hideout utilized by terrorists to store arms and ammunition.

The recovered items include one Pistol, 02 pistol Magazines, 18 live pistol rounds, and one pistol pouch. These weapons were intended to be used by terrorists to disrupt peace and instigate violence in the valley he said.

The official further added that A case has been registered in the police station Bomai, and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway. (KS)
