Srinagar Sep 16 (KS) :The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have busted a hideout and recovered arms and ammunitions in Handwara sub district of North Kashmir’s Kupwara.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Scroll, a police spokesperson said “On 16 Sep 2023, during a search operation at Wadder Bala by parties of Army 21RR, Handwara Police and CRPF 92 Bn, a hideout of arms and ammunition was busted”.

Incriminating material and ammunition, including two AK 47, One AK 56, sixteen AK magzine, 328 Rds AK, One Pistol, 02 Pistol Magzine,03 Pistol Rds, 01 UBGL, 04 UBGL rds, were recovered during the search.

In relation to this, FIR No 208/2023 has been registered at Police Station Handwara under relevant sections UAPA and Arms Act and investigation initiated, he added.(KS)
