Srinagar, June 21 : The hailstorm wrecked havoc in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday afternoon, causing massive damage to crops, walnut, cherry, apricot and apples.

Locals told KNO that the orchards spread over thousands of Kanals of land in Pulwama and Tral villages have suffered massive damage due to the hailstorm.

Notably, the frequent hailstorm in last two weeks has led to the huge loss to the fruit growers, farmers and others in the Valley.

They have demanded the state administration to assess the damage and provide compensation to them so that they can heave a sigh of relief.(KNO)
