Ganderbal 01 Oct:On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, as a part of the country-wide “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” under the theme Swachhata Pakwada-Swachhta Hi Seva, Ganderbal Police on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS today organized a cleanliness (Shramdaan) drive in all the Police establishments of the District in which Officers & Jawans participated with full fervour and enthusiasm.
The main cleanliness (Shramdaan) Drive was organised at District Police Lines Ganderbal in which Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Malik Aijaz-JKPS alongwith Dy.SP DAR Shri Nazir Ahmad participated.
The main aim of the drive was to foster the spirit of Cleanliness among the Jawans. In every Police establishment of the district, the jawans foster the quest for cleanliness within themselves with a firm belief & encouraged other persons to take as endeavour to devote their time for cleanliness.
Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic Nation to which all the Police officers, jawans, CAPF’s & volunteers participated enthusiastically.
Apart from Police Establishments, the local areas, roadsides, footpaths small drains were sanitized by way of using disinfect chemicals.
Further disinfect chemical spray was used to make the premises of every Police Establishment disinfected. The garbage and grass was piled up in the shape of dirt along the boundary walls was removed and also disinfected chemicals were sprayed & all the wasted Garbage was dumped up and destroyed safely for avoiding spread of infection or disease.
Finally, everyone pledged to devote himself for Cleanliness and not indulging in littering the environment and making our country neat & clean.
