Ganderbal 14 Oct:The final match of Volleyball tournament organized by Ganderbal Police in collaboration with Kangan Sports Association (KSA) under the supervision of SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal-JKPS at Kangan, was played today, the tournament was inaugurated by Additional SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS on 26th of SEP-2020 at Govt. Higher Secondary school Kangan.
The tournament was played on the knockout basis. 16 teams from different areas of Ganderbal were participating in this tournament.
The final match was played between Arch Ganderbal Vs Sr Friends Kangan which was won by Sr Friends Kangan by 3-2 points. People enjoyed the match and hailed the friendly gesture of District Police Ganderbal.
SSP Ganderbal, on the occasion said,” J & K Police is always on forefront to organise various sports events to involve youth so that they can excel in these platforms and the best players can exhibit their talent, these sports events also spread the massage of peace and these events also divert youth from depression which later leads them to the menace of drugs”.
Additional SP Ganderbal shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS, SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS, SHO Kangan Shri Aftab Ahmad and civil respectables viz; Ab Majeed respectable and Auqaf member,
Hilal Chairman Auqaf Committee, Mohd Yousuf Poswal BDC Kangan, Irfan Naqashbandi, Nisar Ahmad Naqashbandi, Firdous Dar and many more were present during the event.
Teams were appreciated by District Police and also cash awards, certificates and trophies were distributed by SSP Ganderbal and other accompanies.
