Ganderbal 15 : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested four gamblers in Lar area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and recovered a stake money of Rs 13,810 from their possession.

Acting on tip off, Police team of Police Station Lar led by SHO Inspector Salfie Arshid under the supervision of Dysp Hqrs.shri Dr. Abdul Majid Magrey and over all supervision of SSP Ganderbal shri Khalil poswal (JKPS), raided a gambling site at Repora and apprehended four gamblers. Stake money Rs 13810 was seized on the spot, and all the gamblers arrested.

The accused have been identified as Abdul Rashid Sheikh s/o Mohammed Sidiq sheikh r/o Tulmulla ,Abdul Majeed Dar s/o Gulam Rasool Dar r/o Pir mohalla Tulmulla, Nazir Ahmed Bhat s/o Gulam Nabi bhat r/o Dangerpora Gbl, Mohammad Sami ganai s/o Mohammad Sidiq Ganai r/o New colony Tulmulla.

In this connection case Fir No. 82/2020 u/s 13 gambling Act stands registered and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation to efforts of Ganderbal police to curb the social crimes.
