Ganderbal:Acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora,Police team led by I/C PP Shadipora Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal raided the place of gambling at Lati Gund Roshan and arrested four persons on spot.
The accused persons were identified as Nazir Ahmad Lorihanji S/O Ali Mohd R/O Lati Gund Roshan, Fayaz Ahmad Guru S/O Mohd Ramzan R/O Lati Authkhuroo, Mehraj-ud-Din Guru S/O Gh. Rasool Guru R/O Lati Gund Roshan and Gh. Qadir Dar S/O Gh. Rasool R/O Lati Gund Roshan. Stake money of Rs/- 4400 and deck of playing cards were also recovered on spot.
In this connection, Case FIR Number 48/2021 U/S 13 Gambling Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation is in progress.
Community members are requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with such information so that such anti-social crimes could be curbed.
