Srinagar, Sep 4, KNT: Former Jammu Kashmir Police officer while praying for the departed soul has expressed sympathies with the family of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
The Hurriyat stalwart Geelani passed away on Sep 1 at his Srinagar based residence.
Authorities resorted to internet curfew and blocked voice calling and mobile internet.
Former Srinagar SSP, Riyaz Bidar who after superannuation joined National Conference in a tweet prayed for the departed soul of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
‘My heartfelt condolence to Geellani family on sad demise of Geellani Sahab. May Allah accord a highest place in Jannat ul Firdous to the departed,” the former police officer tweeted. (KNT)
