‘Will review security arrangements for pilgrimage, address mega public rally in Jammu’

Jammu, Jun 13 (KNO): Ahead of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu on June 23 to have first-hand review of the security scenario besides addressing a grand public rally under BJP’s Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan.

Officials sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the union minister, accompanied with top brass of CRPF, BSF, ITBP and other para military forces will review the security lay out plan for ensuing Shri Amarnath ji Yatra, which is commencing for July 1 and culminate on August 30 Shravan Purnima, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.

“The union minister will interact with the agencies engaged to felicitate the 62-day long yatra besides taking the review of deployment virtually,” highly placed MHA sources said.

The sources further added that the Home Minister likely to pay obeisance at cave shrine and review the preparations at ground before heading towards Jammu, where a public rally has been planned under party’s Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan programme being held on the completion of nine years of governance under PM Narendra Modi.

“If weather permits, the Union Minister is likely to make an appearance at the cave shrine, where he performs pooja and also reviews the yatra preparations,” sources said.

Meanwhile, a BJP spokesperson confirmed that the Union Home Minister is arriving in Jammu on 23rd of this month to address a public rally in the city.

“The Union Home Minister will address a public rally on June 23. The day coinciding with the Balidan Divas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukharjee, who laid down his life for complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with rest of India and abrogation of discriminatory article 370, which has been scrapped by this government,” said Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina.

He said in the Jammu parliamentary constituency, a mega public rally will be organized in Jammu city on June 23, which will be addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that leaders and activists of the party have to devote more and more time to mobilize the public to come to rallies and listen to Amit Shah. He said that the people in large numbers should reach the rally venue, for which proper work needs to be done well in time—(KNO)
