In keeping with its commitment to improve the quality of life of differently abled persons, She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs (SHSFWE) Tuesday, organized an event under the theme “Enhancing Accessibility of persons with disabilities”.

The event was conducted with the objective to augment the accessibility of persons with disabilities by donating them different kinds of aids and appliances free.

Advisor to Lt. Governor, Mr. Farooq Khan who was the chief guest on the occasion handed over most of the mobility aids to persons with disabilities.

The major highlights of the event were distribution of motorized wheelchair, aids and appliances, donation of prosthetic aid and fitment and inauguration of Drape Moulding Unit and Laser Therapy Unit.

These motorized wheelchairs donated have been imported from abroad which will make the mobility of the recipient hassle free and effortless.

The event also saw the inauguration of the newly installed Laser Therapy Unit at Hope Disability Centre which can treat about forty different kinds of ailments in reduced time. It is pertinent to mention here that this is one of the only four such equipment available in the valley.

In addition, the plastic sheet, if clear or textured, will retain its surface features post-processing.

The advisor to the Lt. Governor also released the annual report of She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs on this occasion.
