JAMMU: The Crime Branch wing of Jammu and Kashmir police has charge-sheeted two out of three accused in fake appointment case as one of the accused has expired.

The accused Brighu Nandan Sharma, son of late Vijay Sharma, resident of Nanak Nagar Jammu, Sagar Kumar, son of Raj Kumar, resident of Chak Jaralian, Tehsil- Bishnah (Now Expired) and Pallav Gupta, son of Romesh Chander Gupta, resident of H.No. 12, Lane No. 27, Rajpura have been charge-sheeted before Special Judge in the Court of Passenger Tax, Jammu for judicial determination.

FIR vide No 9/20 was registered under sections 419, 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC for their involvement in fabricating fake appointment orders for the post of Junior Engineers in Power Development Department (PDD) against sports quota.

According to FIR, Riaz Ahmed Wani, Deputy Secretary General Administration Department lodged a complaint for investigation in fake appointment orders for the post of Junior Engineer in PDD under sports quota.

The communication referred Chief Engineer (Transmission) Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (JKPTCL) Jammu letter, seeking confirmation and genuineness of Government Order No. 611-GAD of 2017 dated May 18, 2017 and Government order No. 708 GAD of 2018 dated April 26, 2018 purported to have been issued by the GAD, turned out to be fake, as the actual orders on verification were found pertaining to the nomination of members of the J&K State Advisory Board for development of Gujjar & Bakerwals and compassionate appointment of Altaf Ahmed Ganai, son of Late Abdul Ahad Ganai Ex-Chowkidar, resident of Khag, Tehsil -Khag, District -Budgam under SRO 43 of 1994 dated April 22,1994.

On receipt of verification report, FIR was registered with Crime Branch Jammu. During the course of investigation, the scrutiny of fake appointment orders was carried out and documentary, oral, scientific, circumstantial and other material evidences were collected. In order to establish the authorship of these fake appointment orders, the Specimen Signatures and hand writings of the prime accused Brighu Nandan Sharma who had prepared these orders were taken before Executive Magistrate 1st Class Jammu and sent to Director FSL Jammu for expert opinion, which further established offences against the accused.

Here it is pertinent to mention that Brighu Nandan Sharma is also involved in another FIR 10/20 for fabricating another fake appointment order.
