Budgam 10 Oct【KNZ】:PDP General Secretary (Youth Wing) and Vice Chairman J&K Cements Ltd Engineer Nazir Ahmad Yatoo along with a delegation of unemployed youth from Charar I Sharief & Chadoora had a detailed meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at Budgam on Sunday during a public durbar.

Yatoo raised several issues related to unemployment and local development with CM during his meeting. Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo demanded that Government must create several Vocational Training Centres (VTC’s) in Charar I Sharief and Chadoora area where young men and women would be imparted skills in different trades. During the meeting Yatoo informed Chief Minister that due to lack of proper skills among youth , young men and women are not able to secure better jobs. The proposed centre would link up with various organisations who can offer jobs to the youth trained at these centres especially in IT, crafts, Agri, Hospitality and other trades which have local market opportunities.

During his interaction , Nazir Ahmad Yatoo urged upon the Chief Minister to create a tourist circuit from Chadoora to Branwar and Nagam to Nilnag & Laden to Yusmarg which will create livelihood opportunities for the local unemployed youth especially for poney walals of the upper reaches of Charar I Sharief constituency.

Er Yatoo who is also Member of Executive Council of Islamic University Awantipora told Chief Minister that fruit collection centres be set up at cluster level where fruit growers of adjoining villages can get their fruit and then the same can be carried forward by the unemployed youth to Mandis. This will not only help the fruit growers but will generate employment opportunities for the local youth as well , Yatoo told Chief Minister. Delegation lead by Eng Nazir Yatoo requested Chief Minister to restart the defunct juice factory at Chadoora so that juice can be extracted from C grade apples at this plant which will help the local un employed youth and apple growers as well.
Public convenience
Er Yatoo told Chief Minister that there is no toilet facility available in Chadoora town. He said that people especially women face lot of inconvenience in the Chadoora town due to lack of public lavatory in the town. In addition to it Yatoo suggested Chief Minister that Government must create a mechanism wherein people coming to visit various Govt offices in Chadoora sub division will be provided assistance locally and officials be assigned job for taking up the cases at district level so as to ensure that aggrieved people do not have to visit Budgam district headquarters themselves.

Yatoo also requested CM to initiate blacktopping of Hufroo Brenjan & Badipora – Nagam road at an earliest plus setting up an ATM machine in Badipora village . CM directed the top officials of the administration to address all the issues raised by Engineer Nazir Yatoo within a specific time period. Er Yatoo expressed his gratitude to CM for giving him a patient hearing during the awami durbar.
