Ganderbal:District Police Ganderbal today organised a “Talent Hunt” singing competition under Civic Action Programme under the banner of “Choona Hai Aasman“ at District Office, Ganderbal for three (03) age groups viz, 05-12 years group one, 13-17 years group two, 18-25 years group three. in which both boys and girls from different educational institutions participated.

SSP Ganderbal shri Khalil Ahmad POSWAL-JKPS briefed about the event organised by District Police Ganderbal under Civic Action Programme. On the occasion SSP Ganderbal, ” our valley is full of talent and youth is needs to be motivated to excel in different fields and sole objective of these programmes is to provide a platform to those children who generally do not get opportunity to present themselves”.

Ganderbal Police are highly thankful to the members of music band “Expandables” who professional extended support to make this event successful, the members of music band are: (01)Suhai| Ahmad (02) Shabir Ahmad (03) Jasim Iatief (04) Aadil Bashir (05) Umar.

SSP Ganderbal presented momento to the Music band and the jury members of the ”Talent Hunt” singing competition, jury members were: (01) Mohd. Abdullah Sheikh saaz (02) Shabir Ahmad and contest observer M.S Shaheen.

Following singers succeeded in each group who shall participate at range level competition viz: Age group (5-12) 1st-Abira Bashir, 2nd-Faheem BiIaI, 3rd-Mohsin‘Mehraj Age group (13-17) 1st-Sania Malik, 2nd-Mehak Bilal, 3rd-Showkat Ahmad Age group (18-25) 1st-Sakeena Akhter, 2nd-Arifa Bilal, 3rd-Chisti Junaid

On the occasion chief guest SSP Ganderbal and guest of honour ASP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Hussain, Dy. SP HQR Shri Fahad Tak-JKPS distributed prizes and trophies. The prominent citizens who were present during event including Dr Khurshid Quraishi (convener senior society), shri Sabir Ayoub (senior journalist/analyst) shri Ghulam Hassan Parray (Bazaar Association head) etc.
