Pulwama, Feb 6, KNT: Scores of people intending to set up industrial units at Industrial Growth Centre Lassipora Monday appealed to District Administration to allocate land for them as despite paying the lease amount and rent since August last year, no such land has been identified and allocated to them.

They said that at least 8 Unit Holders have taken 15 Kanal of land each on lease and for which every Unit Holder has paid Rs 4.50 lakh per Kanal.

“Besides the lease amount, we have been paying rent since August last year and despite fulfilling all the formalities, no possession of land has been given to us,” one of the Unit Holders from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district told news agency Kashmir News Trust.

The Unit Holders said that the leased land which they are supposed to obtain from the district administration Pulwama has still not been identified.

“We not only have paid the hefty sums but also are paying the rent for the land which is still not under our possession,” they said and appealed to the district administration to look into the matter. [KNT]
