GANDERBAL, SEP 08:- A meeting of District/Sectoral officers was convened here today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla in order to review the progress in the implementation of Hon’ble Chief Minister’s directions for Ganderbal district. The District Development Commissioner emphasized upon the officers to work diligently for the early completion of all the commitments and directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister that had been put forth in her review meeting. District Development Commissioner sought a detailed issue wise latest action taken report of various decisions being taken during the recently held Board meeting and implementation of a flagship programme “Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar”.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal asserted upon all the District sectoral heads that they shall be visiting Tehsils to listen to public grievances, furnishing on spot resolutions and figuring out the issues pertaining to higher authorities. Furthermore ADDC Ganderbal shall be the nodal officer for the conduct of public grievance camps, under the banner “Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” will be conducted at all Tehsils of the district starting from coming Monday.
The meeting was informed that under District plan 2017-18, more than 64% funds have been utilized up to Aug 2017. While reviewing R&B sector, the DDC asked the concerned to ensure proper utilization of allocated funds and ensure completion of the ongoing projects well in time. He stressed on proper monitoring of the projects to ensure quality works and strict adherence to the timelines.
The DDC impressed upon all the officers to make best use of the development season and ensure quality asset creation in the district.  He also impressed upon the officers of Agriculture and allied departments to focus on boosting the rural economy as these sectors have a vast potential that needs to be tapped.
DC while reviewing the convergence plan for the year 2017-2018 stressed for more integration of programmes of key departments for better results. District Development Commissioner also directed the officers for accelerating the pace of work and emphasized on coordination between the line departments to avoid any delay in the execution of works.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, Irrigation and Flood Control and PMGSY, besides district and sectoral officers.
