GANDERBAL, JULY 19: The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting to review the status of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) in the government offices across the district.

Speaking on the occasion DDC said that AEBAS is a work flow based MIS (Management Information System) for monitoring attendance of officers/officials in the individual department and will go a long way in changing work culture in the district.
During the meeting it was informed that out of 74 departments in district 53 departments have already attended training session with regard to sensitization about functionality of AEBAS portal and its various facets organized by NIC District Center Ganderbal over the last one week.
DDC reviewed the status of AEBAS of all 74 departments in the district and it was informed that 53 departments of the district are already on board.
The workshop, among others was attended by ADC, ACR, District Informatics officer (DIO NIC) and other district and sectoral officers of all departments.

Having Aadhar mandatory for registration of employees for AEBAS, the Deputy Commissioner directed all the sectoral/Block level officers of the district for preparing the list of all such employees who are not Aadhar enrolled yet and directed them to get all of them enrolled in Aadhar Centre at the DC Office Ganderbal. He also directed that every sectoral/block level officer should ensure on boarding of their staff on attendance portal immediately.

Workshop cum training programme with organized in collaboration with NIC District Centre Ganderbal. It was decided in the workshop that If any department faces technical difficulties with regard to portal creation/staff enrollment or other technical issues, they should approach NIC Ganderbal for the needful.
