GANDERBAL, JANUARY 21: The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today visited Kurhama where he presided over the   grievance redressal camp held at PHC Kurhama as a part of Block Diwas and listened to the issues of people.

During the camp, large number of people including PRIs from Kurhama and adjoining areas turned up to the camp and apprised the DDC about various issues and grievances and sought his intervention for early redressal.

CMO Ganderbal, Tehsildar Wakura and other field functionaries of various departments were present during the camp.

The PRIs and locals apprised the DDC about various issues like better health facilities at PHC Kurhama, bank extension branch, playground, proper disposal of solid waste, up gradation of PDD infrastructure and related issues concerning their respective areas.

The DDC resolved several issues on the spot besides issued instructions to the concerned departments to take measures to address the public issues.

The DDC assured the PRIs that all their genuine issues would be taken into consideration in a time bound manner and directed the officers of line departments to work in coordination with the PRIs so that equitable development of all panchayats is ensured in the district.

Regarding development of play field, the DDC asked the concerned panchayat body to identify the feasible land in the area so that same is developed into playground.

The DC reiterated that district administration is committed to develop at least one paly ground in every panchayat of the district for which funds are also available and in this regard various play grounds are already inaugurated and many are at different stage of completion.

Pertinently, District Administration Ganderbal organised Block Diwas at different locations of the district to listen to the public grievances and to raise awareness on individual beneficiary oriented schemes where designated senior officers listened to the public grievances and resolved majority of them on the spot with the intervention of the concerned department.
