GANDERBAL, JANUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting with the petrol Pump owners to discuss the availability of facilities and implementation of various guidelines at filling stations established within the jurisdiction of district Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director FCS&CA, Naseer Ahmad Baba, TSOs besides petrol pump owners.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on installation of transparent pipes for filling of oil, public convenience facility, installation of free air facility, stock position besides adherence of rationing which was recently issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.

At the onset, AD food briefed the meeting about the stock position of petrol and diesel and informed that 2.05 lakh liters of diesel and over 1.08 lakh liters of petrol is available at 12 filling stations of the district.
 
The DC enquired from the petrol pump owners about the availability of facilities and implementation of guidelines and adherence of rationing order.

 He passed the clear instructions to the petrol pump owners regarding the implementation of set guidelines with letter and spirit and warned of strict action under the relevant laws who so is found violating the rules and regulations.

The issue of Paristan Filling Station operating in Ganganger, Gund which remain closed since recent snowfall was also discussed for which DC directed the owner to take all necessary measures for operating the said filling station within 3 days so that the locals do not suffer.

He also directed them to ensure strict adherence of rationing order till further instructions so that illegal stocking of petroleum is curbed.

Meanwhile the DC directed the enforcement wing to carry regular inspection of all petrol pumps functioning within the district and take stern action against the violators.
