BANDIPORA, JAN 28: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Thursday inaugurated the One-Day Counseling cum Mentorship workshop on J&K Civil Services Combined Examinations 2021.

The workshop was organized by District administration Bandipora. Senior Superintendent of Police Rahul Malik, Manager DIC, Mehraj Wani, BDOs Mir Tajamul, Noushad Anjum Mir, Sahir Majeed, Hidayatullah Mir, Senior Medical Officer Dr Parvaiz Sajad and other senior officers besides students and aspirants.

On the occasion DC Bandipora, Dr Owais, interacted with the students and civil services aspirants and shared his experiences and important tips with them. He detailed his journey of cracking the examination and recommended the students to have a proper time table for studies and maintain consistency in that.

Dr Owais Ahmad said the students can easily crack any competitive exams if guided properly. He said the students in Kashmir need to be more confident and he is sure the number of IAS qualifiers will multiply every year. He stressed on the need to maintain consistency and dedication to crack the prestigious exam. “The only thing lacking is timely guidance. If we have good mentors and start preparing in time, there is no doubt many more students will crack the examination.”

He said the aim of organizing such workshops is to provide guidance to the aspirants regarding the preparations for the upcoming exams. He Resource Persons will keep guiding aspirants on virtual platforms. He said the administration will be conducting similar sessions for preliminary qualifiers. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Bandipora, Rahul Malik, IPS, also shared his experience and strategies of qualifying civil services examination with the aspirants and asked them to work hard and with perseverance with the right strategy.

Dr Owais said the district administration and few resource persons have volunteered for providing free of cost study material to those aspirants who lack financial resources and the administration will also provide every possible support to the aspirants. He also assured the aspirants that District Administration and Resource will remain available for further guidance through virtual means like WhatsApp groups, etc.

During the technical sessions, Mehraj Wani (KAS) deliberated upon the new pattern of Exam, Choosing optional and syllabus while Mir Tajamul (KAS) talked about Time Management. The technical sessions were followed by the question and answer session wherein the aspirants posed questions to the resource persons to clear their doubts.
