Ganderbal 05 Nov (KNZ):Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) paramilitary force celebrated Diwali with great fervour and joy here in Sonmarg tourist resort of Kashmir valley.

Spreading a message of communal harmony, Amar Chauhan, Deputy Commandant 118 Battalion CRPF, said they stand united for the nation.

“Today is an auspicious day. Just as Eid is celebrated by Muslims, Diwali is celebrated by Hindus. We all are with them. I would also like to greet people and the police forces. We offer them greetings on such a big occasion. This is our brotherhood, and the solidarity of Kashmiri people, which unites Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. We always try to live in peace and harmony with our Hindu and Sikh brethren,” said Amar.KNZ
