Ganderbal 09 Feb (KNZ): As per the directions of the district administration Ganderbal,Geology and Mining team with the help of Ganderbal Police seized 5 tractors and 3 tippers in Wussan Bela and prang who found for illegal mining and violation the norms near Nallah Sindh.
District Mining Officer Zulfikar M Shafi on receiving incessant complaints from the locals conducted raids in Wussan Bela,prang and other adjoining areas to check operations of illegal mining in the District.
During the raids 08 vehicles were seized on spot at Wussan Bela and Preng.
It is pertinent to mention that people from these areas have hailed the action of the Geology Mining Department.
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted District Mining officer Ganderbal Zulfikar Mohd Shafi,he said that we seized 5 tractors and 3 tippers who violation the norms and the vehicles seized on the spot and later handed over to the police post Gutlibagh and Police Station Kangan.
He further warned that if any person found indulging in illegal mining the Department will take strict action against him under law.KNZ
