Srinagar,Dec 13 (KS) : A policeman was killed in a road accident in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
An official told kashmir Scroll that aj accident took place on NHW 44 near samboora Awantipora Link road in which one Alto vehicle bearing Reg No:JK 04H 0495 driven by cop Bashir Ahmad collided with divider
He said thar incident happened due to over speed resulting the said vehicle turned turtle and said constable got injured seriously who was shifted to SDH Pampore for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
After medico legal formalities dead body handed to legal heirs for last rites, he said.
He identified him as Bashir Ahmad Kuchay son of Gh Mohidin resident of Negoo Beerwah Budgam, a senir grade constable posted in Awantipora.
Meanwhile police has started investigation in this regard.(KS)
