Illegal running of clinics and diagnostic labs puts local patients at risk.

Ganderbal 22 Aug (KNZ):Various private clinical establishments in Ganderbal have been running illegally in district Ganderbal,risking the lives of the people.These include diagnostic laboratories, dental clinics and X ray clinics.

Sources told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that various private medical establishments are being run illegally in violation of norms and many clinical laboratories are being run without laboratory technician or with ill-trained staff. It also came to fore that some private clinical establishments of Ganderbal district are giving reports to patients without carrying actual tests.

Sources said Various clinical laboratories are owned by Goverment health department employees.They use influence in health department to escape inspections .

Locals said Unchecking of these Illegal ways of running the clinics is grave concern and criminal act .

Sources also said that technician working in these clinics in Ganderbal are not technically eligible.Many of them don’t have technical diploma and they are not even passed matric exams.

Most of clinics don’t posses basic requirements like washroom which is one of basic requisite of such clinics.One basic requirements is that the clinic should be in ground-floor but most of labs here are on first floor with out facilties .

Source also told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that several malpractices were observed in some of the clinics and diagnostic labs.

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted BMO Ganderbal Ishtiyaq Ahmad he said “we have already constituted a team for this but due to COVID-19 we are occupied .

Sources said not even one inspection has been done which says a lot about working of the team

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ contacted CMO Ganderbal Mehraj U Din many times about the issue, every time CMO assures action but nothing happens on ground.

Local residents of Ganderbal Appealed Director health to look into the matter immediately so that lives of people aren’t put to risk.KNZ
