Hopes it would facilitate people’s interface with Police

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 16: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti launched the citizen’s portal of the Crime Branch of J&K Police here today.

Congratulating the J&K Police for launching the portal, the Chief Minister hoped that it would bring in lot of ease to people in their relations with the Police in terms of lodging a complaint, seeking employee verification or tracking the status of a case.

Mehbooba Mufti hoped that other Departments would also follow the suit and incorporate these citizen friendly interventions in their services. She said recently she also launched a similar portal of State Pollution Control Board which would also help in minimising delays and corruption in rendering their services.

Earlier briefing the Chief Minister, Director General of Police, Dr. S. P. Vaid said the launch of the portal would facilitate citizen interface with the Police. He hoped the launch of the portal would help in crime detection, busting interstate gangs and provide people requisite information for which they would not have to travel down to Police Stations.

Chief Secretary, B. B. Vyas; Principal Secretary, Home, R. K. Goyal and other senior officers of civil administration and Police were present on the occasion.
