BUDGAM:Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested 02 notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
During naka checking at Hardpanzoo Crossing, police party of Police post Hardpanzoo intercepted 02 persons roaming suspiciously .During search of said persons, police party recovered contraband substance 220 Grams of Charas from their possession and were arrested on the spot.
The arrested persons have been identified as:- Firdous Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh R/O Larbal Dassan & Nisar Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Ramzan Bhat R/O Harda Latina
Case FIR number 156/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation set into motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
