Jammu | Jan 16: The government Tuesday said all the bridges in Wachi constituency will be completed by this end except one Badimarg-Narwani bridge.

The government said the project for the Badimarg-Narwani bridge has been prepared at a cost of Rs 264 lacs, but at present the bridge is not approved under any programme.

In a written reply to a question raised by MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmad Mir, the government said the other bridges in the constituency will be completed by the end of this year. The bridges on which the work is going on and will be completed in this year are Trenz bridge, Wachi bridge, Hydergund bridge, Zainapora bridge, Checki-Kachdoori bridge.

  • Trenz bridge

The bridge has been taken up under World bank (Force account) through JKPCC Ltd. The work is going on and is all set to be completed in this year.

  • Wachi Bridge

The construction of 1×48 Mtr span bridge over Nallah Rambiara at Wachi is an ongoing scheme under State Sector Bridges Program me at an estimated cost of Rs 380.00 lacs. The sub- structure of the bridge stands completed.

  • Hydergund bridge
  • Construction of lx 16 Mtr Bailey bridge stands taken up for execution during the current financial year at an estimated cost of Rs. 65.00 lacs. Construction of left abutment stands completed & the work for construction of right side abutment is being taken up for execution shortly.

Zainpora bridge

The construction of lx 45 Mtr trussed girder bridge over nallah Tongri at Zainapora stands taken up for execution during the year 20 15-16 at an estimated cost of Rs 398.96 lacs under Flood damaged infrastructure (Flood Bridges). The substructure of the said bridge stands completed & fabrication/ launching of superstructure is in progress.

Checki Kachdoora Bridge

The construction of 1×15 Mtr span bridge at Checki Kachdooii stands allotted & is being taken up for execution shortly. The estimated cost of the br idge is Rs. 65.00 lacs
