Shopian: A dead body was found in this district of south Kashmir on Thursday evening.

Reports said that the throat of the deceased was slit.

The body was found in Killora area of the district. The slain man was identified as Gowhar Ahmad, a resident of Shopian.

Sources said that the slain man as affiliated with Hindu nationalist BJP.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and investigations have been started.
