BG 3rd Semester Students Block Kashmir University road against Result Discrepancies

Dozens of students from different Kashmir colleges on Monday blocked a road outside the Kashmir University to protest against the varsity authorities for declaring them unsuccessful in more than ONE SUBJECT in recently declared results.

The protesting students of third semester (Under Graduate) were demanding photocopies of their ANSWER-SHEETS.

The result of the 1st semester examination was declared on January 19 and that too after one and half year, they said.

The students formed a human chain and blocked the traffic for around an hour amid anti-varsity slogans.

the students alleged that the university authorities due to their “NON-SERIOUS” behavior have misplaced their answer-papers and have shown 100% students failing in subjects like “BUSINESS ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT” & “URDU” in different valley colleges.

“How is it possible that none of us will pass a subject despite attempting all questions? We believe that they have misplaced our papers of our first semester exam since we appeared in that exam one and a half year ago,” the protesting students told

They also said that several other students despite appearing in the exams have been marked absent in one or two subjects in the recently declared results.

“I was marked absent despite the fact that I appeared in the exam. I got my attendance sheet from the college where I’m marked present,” said a student from Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar.
