6 Separate Cases Also Registered With As Many Vehicles Seized; Fine Realised from 62 Persons

Baramulla, May 17: (GNS) Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have on Monday registered several cases including one against a lady doctor found practicing at a private clinic over alleged violation of Corona Curfew instructions in the district.

A police official concerned told Global News Service (GNS) that during an inspection regarding corona curfew enforcement in the area, a lady doctor was found practicing at a private medical centre ‘Apollo Poly Clinic’ at Gokhama area of Kunzer area in the district.

The lady doctor namely Dr. Muzzamil currently posted at Trauma hospital Pattan, as per the official, was found to have indulged in private practice at the clinic in presence of huge rush of public.

“The scenes at the clinic warranted action and as such the Duty Magistrate alongside SHO Kunzer sealed the clinic instantly besides taking up a case into it under relevant sections of law”, he said.

In similar action undertaken by police, respective teams from Baramulla, Boniyar, Tangmarg, Pattan, Kunzer, Police Post Kungamdara and Police Post Kamalkote at Baramulla, Tangmarg, Pattan, Kunzer, Kungamdara and Kamalkote registered 6 cases, the official said.

Five light-motor-vehicles (LMVs) besides a tipper were also seized for violating the Covid instructions with fine realized from sixty-two (62) persons for resorting to routine businesses and plying vehicles unnecessarily on different routes across the district. (GNS)
