Bandipora Police continuing its war against the social crimes arrested five Gamblers in Nowgam Sumbal.
Acting on a specific information about the presence of Gamblers in Nowgam area of Sumbal, a police party of Post Nowgam led by IC PP Nowgam ,PSI Rayees Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Shri Surrender Mohan -JKPS & SHO PS Sumbal INSP. Ashiq Hussain raided a gambling site at village Nowgam Sumbal and found 05 Gamblers in a field gambling they were arrested on spot and stake money of Rs 3420 and play cards were seized from them.The arrested gamblers have been identified as 01.Shabir Ahmad Zadoo 02. Mohmad Maqbool Naikoo 03.Syed Reyaz 04. Bashir Ahmad Batoo 05. Kifayat Hussain Batoo all residents of Nowgam Sumbal.
In this regard, case FIR No. 137/2022 under relevant sections of Gambling Act stands registered in Police Station Sumbal and further investigation has been taken up.
