Ganderbal 08 May (KNZ) :Geology and Mining Department Ganderbal under the supervision of District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Majid Aziz Bhat with assistance of SHO Ganderbal Manzoor Ahmad seizedthree tractors in Ganderbal which were involved in illegal extraction and transportation minor mineral from Ganderbal district.
DMO Majid Bhat said we have seized 3 tractors under section 21(4) of the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act. 1957 at various spots in Ganderbal.
DMO Ganderbal also said that the Department will not allow such unlawful activities.
He further warned that if any person found indulging in illegal mining the Department will take strict action against him under law.(KNZ)
